This Is What Community Looks Like

There are days that feel bigger than themselves.
Days when the ocean is the backdrop, but the people become the story.

This was one of those days.

Not even a storm — and a full power outage — could stop it.

When we completely lost power, nobody packed up. Nobody left. People jumped in cars, tracked down generators, found speakers, and brought the music back. Big shoutout to Kooks and Luis Carlos. And when the rain came, people didn’t run — they danced in it. Because this wasn’t just a party. It was purpose.

To everyone who showed up — not just physically, but wholeheartedly — thank you. You didn’t just attend an event. You strengthened a year-round lifesaving program that protects this coastline every single day of the year.

This year, together, we raised $8,800 — the highest amount ever generated through raffle tickets, merch, and the surf contest itself. And then something even more happened.

That is what belief looks like.
That is what impact looks like.

To our DJs Cortney, Gal, and Haylock — this event simply wouldn’t be the same without you. You carried the energy before, during, and after the storm.

To our MCs Sebastian and Cris — you guys are legends. Through chaos, laughter, and everything in between, you kept the spirit alive.

Off course thank you to Jim, Quiqe, Ale, and the entire Rocamar team. Hosting something like this takes more than space — it takes commitment to something far beyond one afternoon.

To Tini — year after year, the merch becomes part of the culture. Every piece is a reminder to do the things we love most — and to share those moments with the people around us.

To our photographers — thank you for capturing the moments that move too fast to hold onto. Your images allow this day to live far beyond the shoreline.

To every business that immediately said “yes” when asked to donate — you are partners in prevention. Your generosity fuels the unseen work: the preventions, the rescues, the first aid, and the long hours watching shifting currents so others can enjoy the ocean safely.

To our team — this event may last a day, but your responsibility lasts all year. The preparation behind this gathering mirrors the same dedication you bring to the towers, 365 days strong.

No matter how the heats played out, the real win was collective.
Every wave ridden, every ticket bought, every dollar raised feeds a program that protects this coastline all year long.

This isn’t just surf culture.
It’s a community that shows up — in the rain, without power, without excuses.

See you next year.
